Like the old song from War goes…Cisco Kid was a friend of mine.  I took that nick as I was leaving a previous job to work at Cisco Systems, one of the engineers said that to me as I walked out the door.  Anybody that doesn’t know that song is probably half my age, and that is most likely since I am 47.  I work at Cisco as a manufacturing engineer, so please don’t ask me networking questions, but feel free to buy Cisco products.

I also have two kids, Paul, aged 12, and Sara, aged 16, and yes, I do have a gun license and a collection of samurai swords.  Adding to the household is my wife and a Beagle named Princess.  We all live in the west end of Ottawa, having moved from Arnprior (pop. 7500), otherwise known as Armpit.  It was quite a shock moving to a small city after having lived in Montreal for 25 years.  The 70’s and 80’s in Montreal were quite a time to grow up in one of the biggest party towns in Canada.

Anyway, enough old history.  These days I hang out on IRC, MSN, and sometimes Yahoo IM.  If you ask me ASL I will ignore you, better learn the art of conversation.  If you ask for my picture, you will likely get the one below.

Cisco

It really works for shock value, and is sure to deter anybody.  I have lots of hobbies, working on my HO scale trainset in the basement, doing color and b/w photography, building scale models, and reading books.  Working for Cisco has involved lots of traveling to places such as Texas and California, and it gives me the opportunity to take pictures of different places.  This is one of the perks of travelling besides buying interesting souvenirs (swords, tequila, doors for my car).  I never did get to bring home a pair of longhorns for the car, pity.  I also enjoy a good cigar once in a while, with the occasional drink or wine.

So if you want to chat and shoot the shit, go ahead and message me.
